Laptop Review: 17.3-Inch Laptop with 8GB Memory and AMD Dual Core Processor

 It seems too good to be true for such a low price on a 17.3-inch laptop powered by AMD dual-core processors with 8GB+ RAM. The HP 17z is equipped with all these features. It was first released in 2015. Since then, it has received a lot praise for its performance and quality. Consumers also have the option to choose touchscreen (Pavilion).

Although a 17-inch laptop may not be the most lightweight, it is still light enough to take on business trips or vacations. The non-Pavilion standard version is 5.62lbs in weight and measures 15.34 inches wide, 0.97 inches high, and 10.94 inch deep.

It uses 802.11b-gn-1x1 wireless communication to communicate with the router. You can also add Bluetooth 4.2 and ac compatibility if you want it. According to HP 17z tests the signal quality was good up to ten metres from the router, and through three or four walls.

This particular model comes in four colors: Smoke Gray (Silk Gold), Jet Black (Jet Black), and Natural Silver. The full-size, island-style keyboard also includes an integrated numeric keyboard. The keys are placed at an optimal distance so typing is effortless and precise. To allow for smooth typing, the strokes are well absorbed. This notebook is both well-designed and functional. The hinge is chrome-plated and the notebook has unique textures.

The HP 17z laptop's starter configuration includes the following:

* AMD dual-core processor A9 9420 APU, 3GHz - 3.6GHz with burst frequency

* AMD Radeon graphics R5 and 530

* 17.3-inch diagonal HD+ SVA backlit BrightView display with 1600x900 resolution

* 1 x 8GB SDRAM DDR4 1866

* Hard drive: 1TB SATA5400-RPM

* DVD writer optical drive

HP 17z Upgrade Options

You can expand the memory by adding a second module (4GB or 8GB), and you can go up to 12GB, or 16GB. A M.2 SSD slot allows for a Solid State Drive up to 256GB to be installed if you need something faster than 5400RPM SATA.

You can view game graphics, images, and videos on a large BrightView screen, but you can also listen to high quality audio through the HP 17z using DTS technology and a dual speaker system.

The HD+ panel model can provide up to 7 hours battery life for general tasks and up to 6 hours during video playback. You have a number of ports that can be used for data transfer and charging: 1 USB 2.0 (gen. 1) and 2 USB 3.1 (gen. 1). 1 HDMI (for connecting a second screen), 1 microphone jack and 1 RJ45.

Although it may not be as powerful or as expensive as higher-end gaming laptops, the HP17z offers more power and speed than any other laptops within its price range.
